What it is
A small, opinionated publication about fresh-herb cooking. Editorial more than utility — long-form essays, technique videos, and a community recipe section.
What it covers
- Variety guides (different basils, mints, parsleys)
- Technique videos (how to chiffonade, how to bruise)
- Reader-submitted variations
- The pesto section, which is unreasonably large
What I'm proud of
The video player. Long videos kill engagement; we cap every technique video at 90 seconds. Each video has a captioned summary up top and the long-form notes below, so you can watch the action or read the why.
What it taught me
Running a publication is one part editing and four parts moderation. The community side is high-value but expensive. I'd build it again — but with more boundaries from day one.
